Polson is on the Flathead Indian Reservation. It is at the south end of Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi.
Polson is an hour north of Missoula and an hour south of Kalispell. It is on Highway 93. It is accessed from exit 96 on Interstate 90.
